According to fellow radio talk show host, Glenn Beck, CBS posted an article announcing Terri Schiavo's death on its News website BEFORE SHE DIED. Written by Christine Lagorio and posted on March 28th it said, "Surrounded by stuffed animals and medical equipment in her small hospice room in Pinellas Park, Fla., Theresa Marie Schindler Schiavo died.TK"
They, however, removed it within a day, but Glen Beck saw it and published it on his blogsite before it was removed.
Some of what the CBS article said was, "Terri Schiavo was locked in a battle with her own personal image as far back as anyone can tell. She was an overweight child who only gained pounds through adolescence, reaching at least 200lbs. by her senior year of high school. (what's the purpose?)
It goes on, "Close friends have been telling newspapers that Terri never excelled in school. She sometimes talked about becoming a veterinarian, but got barely passing grades while in Catholic school." (what's the point here?)
CBS also wrote, "Michael Schiavo, who was at the bedside of his wife Terri when she died, (how do we know? she hasn't died yet) told Larry King that he lives now with another woman with whom he has two children. "I can love more than one person," he told King. "Everybody can do that."
The rest of the article appears to vindicate Michael Schiavo's position in all that has occurred, including that she was bulimic and that that was the cause of her brain-damaged state.
Any news organization with class would focus on Terri's legacy and her fight for life, not whether she was overweight or made poor grades in school.
It all seems pretty clear that the liberal media, and in this case, CBS, stops at nothing for a story....even after Rather-Gate!

Brave New World? Two - Terri Schiavo
Terri Schiavo's case will definately set a precedence
Terri Schiavo's family now has to go through three police check points, which takes 15 minutes, before they can see Terri. A policeman stands guard by her bed. Judge Greer ordered that not even a wet Q-tip can be used to clean out her mouth, only a dry one. Not one drop of water is allowed.* The courts take their time, while Terri's life is being taken from her.
Doctors and nurses who have formerly examined or attended to Terri, testify that she could swallow, speak, move arms and legs at command and interact with them. One nurse said on Hannity and Colmes tonight that Terri would say words such as 'pain' and 'help me'. It's been five days since the feeding tube has been removed, and the judges continue to take their time.
Several of Terri's life-long friends swear she wouldn't say she'd never want help to stay alive, because of her well-known pro-life worldview. And yet she and her family are powerless to keep her alive. The decision rests in the hands of the judges.
Terri's case is an indicator of where we are heading as a nation. Will we continue down this road or take a turn?
With so much contradiction of interpretation of the law, and differing opinions on the ethics of Terri living or dying, where do you turn to for the right answers? This question demands a hard look at what you consider the bottom line for truth is.
Though some don't like it, the fact remains that our law and nation was formed and is based on the Judeo-Christian ethic. Therefore...what would Jesus say about this situation? How about - "Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me. For I was hungry, and you gave me meat, *I was thirsty, and you gave me drink..." Matthew 25:40-46.

Brave New World Re-Visited? Terri Schiavo Case
Terri Schiavo case Pivotal to Our Future
I have a lot of questions concerning the Terry Schiavo case. Questions like:
Which arguments should be front and center in the Terry Schiavo case - Constitutional law and the possible over-reach of Congress or out-of-control judges? The contradictions between her family and her husband regarding her purported wishes? Who should be ultimately responsible for making the decision whether she lives or dies? What are the motives of the husband for persisting so greatly for her death?
Also, is this a legal matter or a health issue? Who are the experts in cases like this - lawyers and judges or doctors? Why is more weight not given to the testimonies of the doctors who have examined her? And should judges involved in this case make a visit to see her condition for themselves?
One doctor who has seen Terri on three separate occasions, according to the Christian Wire Service of Clearwater, Florida, is Dr. William Hammesfahr, nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology in 1999, and recognized for his new approaches to helping brain injured individuals, and was identified by Judge Susan Kirkland, in a ruling for the State of Florida Department of Health, as "the first physician to restore deficits caused by stroke."
Speaking to Terri Schiavo's condition, which is hypoxic encephalopathy, a type of stroke, Dr. Hammesfahr made the following statement today: "There are many approaches that would help Terri Schiavo. I know, because I had the opportunity to personally examine her, her medical records, and her X-rays. It is time to help Terri, instead of just warehousing her. She would have benefited from treatment years ago, but it is not to late to start now. We and others I know have treated many patients worse than Terri, and have seen them regain independence and dignity."

Living Pluralistically?
Is America a pluralistic nation? Think about it.
It wasn't but a few months ago that the internet was hit with a flurry of articles and alerts, and the nightly news frequently reported, regarding incidents of anti-Christmas bias. Courts, city councils, department stores and school districts banned mangers scenes, singing Christmas carols, even using the word Christmas.
I was reminded of this during my interview with Professor William Wagner this past week on his new book, "How Islam Plans to Change the World." We talked about an example in the Michigan town of Hamtramck where Muslims can now hear their five daily calls to prayer over loudspeakers throughout the city which the City Council unanimously approved. See http://www.islam-online.net/English/News/2004-04/23/article04.shtml.
We all remember incidents, following September 11th, where schools were not only teaching about Islam, but, as in the junior high school in northern California, had students dress in muslim clothes, pick a muslim name, bow down on prayer rugs to Allah, play Jihad, etc., regardless of their personal religious beliefs. Yet, a teacher was recently reprimanded for teaching his students from some of our original founding documents, such as the Declaration of Independence because he pointed out the (Christian) religious faith of those who wrote these documents. See http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=41623.

I recommend that if you missed my show with Professor Wagner that you listen to it online (dated 3/2/05) at our Broadcast Archives page at http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/changing_worldviews/Archives.asp. He confronts the fuzzy rhetoric surrounding this issue.
