HOT OFF THE SHOW! Former Anti-War Socialist Speaks Out

Today I interviewed Steve Berean, a former radical anti-war protestor, opponent of the U.S. government, revolutionary socialist activist, who spent his life organizing protests against the war in Vietnam, defending the Nicaraguan Sandinistas, Cuban Communists, the Palestine Liberation Organization; and participated in the Socialist Workers Party intervention into the trade union movement... but today supports the U.S.-led war against terrorism.

He had some very interesting things to say: In every war there are those who 1) are afraid to confront and take a passive position 2) those who sumpathize with the enemy. Steve said that radical anit-war movements take their tactics from the socialists/communists which include:

1) Start speaking out against the war.

2) Then blame the U.S.: It's the U.S. & its soliders that are torturing people; it's U.S. 'imperialist propaganda!", etc.

3) Exaggerate claims, or lie straight out.

4) Look for Rabbis, ministers, politicians and soliders just home from the war (Vietnam or Iraqi vets) who might be sympathetic to their cause, influence them and use them to to be a mouthpiece to further their cause.

Eminent Domain Abuse - Now No Home is Safe

Last Friday the Supreme Court approved the government's ability to seize your home or business for the development of the property and the resultant profits to go to public coffers in the name of "public use". My husband and I agree THIS IS PREPOSTEROUS! According to the ruling, if your property is valuable enough then the government can take it because the proceeds of the "value" will go to the public coffers, benefiting the public and thus satisfy the 5th Amendment clause. HOGWASH!!! Let's not forget that center to the (can I say the "c" word?) communist philosophy to take control of a people, or their country, is to deny the ownership of private property. The courts have just taken us a giant step toward that end.

Hot Off the Show: The Left During Times of War

When a country is at war - what do you call those citizens who want the enemy to win? Who works to cause sympathy for the enemy in his own country? Who blames his own country for the actions of the enemy? (ie America's fault we were attacked on 9/11)et al. My guest on the show today, David Horowitz, says: Traitor! A Traitor is someone who betrays his country by committing treason. Wikipedia describes Treason as "the crime of disloyalty to one's nation. A person who betrays the nation of their citizenship and/or reneges on an oath of loyalty and in some way willfully cooperates with an enemy, is considered to be a traitor." Now, it is not normal to stand against your own country. You have to be educated/programmed to do so. (My guest on Wednesday, Steve Beren, will talk about such programming.) Real loyalty, just like in a real marriage, is committed with its eyes wide open. In other words, sees the good and bad, and remains loyal, focusing on the good, and working to change the what needs changing. If you missed today's interview with David Horowitz you can listen online. (See below).

Point to Ponder: The Real Mad Cows!

Never mind the recent mad cow scare! Have you read the 'Political Definitions' using cows?

Socialism: If you have 2 cows, you give your neighbor 1.

Communism: If you have 2 cows, you give them to the government and the government gives you some their milk.

Facism: If you have 2 cows, you keep them and give the milk to the government and the government then sells you some of the milk.

New Dealism: If you have 2 cows, you shoot 1 cow, milk the other and pour the milk down the drain!

Nazism: If you have 2 cows, the government shoots you and keeps the cows.

Capitalism: If you have 2 cows, you sell one cow and buy a bull.

End Note:
Christianity: If you have 2 cows, and your neighbor has no milk for his family, you give him one of your cows, only to find that the cow you kept miraculously produces more milk than the 2 cows produced together!

Point to Ponder: Absentee Dads - a National Crisis?

First, Happy Father's Day to every father reading this! Being a father is one of the most rewarding and one of the toughest jobs on earth...and not everyone gets it right. Juggling work and family time takes some deliberate effort. And President George W. Bush has determined to make committed, responsible fatherhood a national priority. Is this necessary? What do you think? ...

43% of U.S. children live without their father
90% of homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes
71% of pregnant teenagers lack a father in their lives
63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes
90% of adolescent repeat arsonists live without a father
75% of adolescent patients in chemical abuse centers come from fatherless homes
70% of juveniles in state operated institutions have no father

The President said on the importance of dads, "The presence of two committed, involved parents contributes directly to better school performance, reduced substance abuse, less crime and delinquency, fewer emotional and other behavioral problems, less risk of abuse or neglect, and lower risk of teen suicide. The research is clear: fathers factor significantly in the lives of their children. There is simply no substitute for the love, involvement, and commitment of a responsible father."

You may be a wonderful father, or had one, but there are thousands of kids today who don't. I want to encourage you to be a father to the fatherless, which will not only have an impact on them for the rest of their lives, which is good cause enough, but will as well impact our nation as the next generation steps into the role of leading in our country.

Yale Plans New Constitution thanks to George Soros

"It is time for progressives to set a constitutional agenda for the 21st Century. The Constitution in 2020 project is our attempt to build a counterweight to the conservative vision of the constitution developed so successfully by the right 25 years ago." These are the words you find promoting Yale Law School's chapter of the American Constitutional Society's "The Constitution in 2020," conference. Designed for "bringing together leading figures in American law to catalyze debate among progressives about the Constitution's future," one of the conference's main financial backers was none other than the Bush-hating, left-leaning billionaire, George Soros. Among other things, the conference called for creating a 'citizenship inheritance' of $80,000 by taxing the wealthy.

HOT OFF THE SHOW! The Little Black Book

Well, I hope you listened in today to the show on GLSEN's Little Black Book with Dr. Warren Throckmorton. The book, material available for students as young as 13 yrs. of age, contains pornographic language and pictures, and takes tremendous liberty in advocating some of the riskiest sex practices, including recommendations for gay, nude bars and more. Something we didn't cover on the show because of time is the flip-flop GLSEN did regarding the materials. First their Boston office denied allegations of pornographic materials at its conference, stating they were "categorically untrue," and were lies "from the far right." Their website posted a notice that "wants to assure everyone that there were no sexually explicit materials at the conference." However, GLSEN did finally admit that the materials were indeed present at the Brookline school event. The superintendent of Brookline Schools also admitted that the sexually explicit materials were made available at the conference and apologized. If anyone still thinks GlSEN's agenda is about equality for homosexuals, you better read the book, or better yet, attend one of their events, and then see what you think.

HOT OFF THE SHOW! Peace Plan Not Working

We recorded today's show last week as our guest, Pastor Jim Vineyard, would be in Israel this week working to stop the deportation of Jews from 25 villages in Israel -part of the 'peace process' agreed to by Ariel Sharon. I am not certain if Jim was part of the 120 Americans reportedly caught in this second day of mortar attack in the Gaza communities which are part of the Disengagement Plan. Today's attack came in spite of Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, trying to work towards the cease-fire he signed with Israel earlier this year. He obviously has no control over Palestinian terrorists. There can be no peace in the Middle East as long as the Jews are losing their land. Tune in to today's show to hear why I say that.

Smuggling Rings Sneaking Al-Qaida into the U.S.

According to Joseph Farah of Worldnetdaily today Islam is growing in Mexico and Latin America by converting the native populations. U.S. Ambassador to Venezuela, Charles Shapiro, reported that almost every terrorist group is now found in Latin America. Within the "Muslim Triangle" of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay Muslim businesses have been identified as supporting the 'Palestinian cause' in the Middle East, and the Pentagon reported human smuggling rings have been found which are working to sneak Al-Qaida terrorists into the United States.

HOT OFF THE SHOW! Britain Sees No Point to EU Constitution Now

Britain's foreign secretary Jack Straw said there is “no point” in moving forward with ratifying the EU constitution, but yesterday, the Swiss surprised everyone when they voted with a majority of 53% to accept the Schengen and Dublin agreements. In the past Switzerland has been EU-neutral, but with this action the Center for European Policy Studies in Brussels called the nation a 'virtual member' of the European Union. But can the EU survive the 'non' vote of France and the Netherlands?
I discuss this on today's show as well as the liberal mindset and proposals for the EU's agenda.

Is This the End of the EU?

What a world we live in today! Just a quick skim of the daily newspaper has more power to wake you up in the morning than that first cup of coffee! For instance, a few recent 'expresso-type stories' include:

~ NY’s Gov. Pataki having to issue a ban on all publicly funded Viagra-type drugs after the discovery that 198 convicted level 3 sex offenders (the most serious kinds) were receiving these drugs thru the state!
~ Federal investigators just reported that despite initiatives, only 17.5% of the shipping containers that are rated as ‘high risk’ for becoming vehicles for terrorists are inspected before being put on ships bound for the U.S.
~ It’s been found that up to $30 million are sent from the U.S. yearly through the sale of fake high-fashion merchandise, such as Gucci handbags & Prada shoes by organized crime syndicates tied to Hezbollah, the Islamic militant terrorist group. That’s right, from right here in the U.S. - $30 million a year!

A big news item this week is the fate of the EU's constitution. Despite French President Chirac’s pleas, the French people voted 'no' against the European Union’s constitution, and the Dutch followed suit. Is this good or bad news?
