Randy Thomasson joined me on the show today to talk about 3 crucial bills before the Calfiornia state legislature having to do with mandating the teaching of the homosexual, bi-sexual and trans-sexual lifestyles in classrooms. And I embellished the topic with the background of how we got to where we are with only 2% of the population making extraordinary gains in public opinion and policy.

Did you know, as reported by WorldNetDailythis week, that NBC "struts 'gay' jokes all over Miss Universe" with 'Queer Eye' star Carson Kressley.

"With some of the world's most beautiful women on display at tonight's Miss Universe Pageant in Los Angeles, viewers of the NBC broadcast were exposed to a celebration of homosexuality with continuous "gay" jokes and innuendo...(such as) 'I also loved Miss Puerto Rico. Again I have to confess I was looking at her dress, I was kind of mesmerized.'

HOT OFF THE SHOW! Judge Rules Against 'faith-based' Prison Fellowship

On our live show today one of the issues we talked about with listeners was the recent case where a federal judge ruled that Charles Colson's 'faith-based' Prison Fellowship and the state of Iowa violated the U.S. Constitution in regards to the separation of church state, with its government-funded program to rehabilitate prison inmates.

The case was brought to court by Americans United for Separation of Church and State, a self-appointed 'liberty watch-dog' group in Washington, viewed as a major challenge to President Bush's faith-based initiative, which helps religious groups that provide social services, particularly in prisons, with finances.

U.S. District Judge Robert Pratt ruled that the InnerChange Freedom program at Iowa's Newton Correctional Facility, which is a part of Prison Fellowship, violated the ban on government establishment of religion because it was state-funded.

The judge ordered the program to be stopped in 60 days and the $1.5 million it's received to be refunded to the government. 60% of Prison Fellowship's efforts are privately funded.

Pratt also ruled:

“The Prison Fellowship and InnerChange belief in the substitutionary and atoning death of Jesus, which reflects a legalistic understanding of the sacrifice of Jesus, likewise, is not shared by many Christians… Belief in the literal, bodily resurrection of Jesus is also not shared by many other, non-Evangelical Christians… Belief in an imminent, personal, and visible second coming of Jesus Christ, as held by Prison Fellowship and InnerChange, does not comport with the belief held by other non-Evangelical Christians that, if a second coming of Christ occurs, its nature is unknown, or is more spiritualized”.

PFM works in ten states educating prisoners academically as well as help with job placement and life skills. PFM's record shows its efforts dramatically reduce recidivism.

HOT OFF THE SHOW! Al Gore Invokes Religion to Validate His Claims

From time to time we will air outstanding talks I've either heard or become aware of on the show that we think would be of real value to our listeners, such as today's of Paul Driessen's speech at the Heritage Foundation on the subject of Redefining Sovereignty, specifically on the eco-imperialists who put the earth before people. It's a must hear. And then I added my comments on Al Gore's documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth", specifically how he has been invoking religion and using the bible to validate his positions.

Such as: saying Noah was given the commandment to support biodiversity, and that in the book of Revelation God said He would destroy all those who destroy His Creation...chapter and verse please?

But even more disturbing is how this pro-choice advocate would dare to use scripture about destroying God's creation...hello?

Oh, I get it...babies don't count. He's talking about birds and bees and trees and things.

One more stance the republican California governor takes opposite the President.

Campaign for Children and Families reported: On Thursday, Gov. Schwarzenegger authorized $150 million in loans for human embryonic stem cell research. State Treasurer Phil Angelides, chair of the government's human embryonic stem cell committee, authorized $200 million last year for the same Frankensteinian goal.

Randy Thomasson, president of CCF said:

"There are major ethical and scientific problems with human embryonic stem cell research. Schwarzenegger and Angelides are blind to the fact that human embryonic stem cell research hasn't helped anyone but the corporate interests, whose pockets are filling up with taxpayer dollars."

Hollywood 'Hit': Sean Penn plays Richard Clarke

Sean Penn will finally be able to criticize the Bush Administration on the big screen when he plays Richard Clarke in a film based on Clarke's 'inside-Washington' book, on how the Bush administration handled terrorist threats both before and after the Sept. 11th.

NewsMax's Hollywood Confidential, James Hirsen writes:

"Sean Penn has been widely reported to be on board to play Clarke. Vaughn is being talked about to fill the role of [the late FBI counter-terrorism agent John O'Neill]. Haggis is supervising screenwriter James Vanderbilt who's penning the second draft of the screenplay."

I applaud the President - Vetos Embryonic Stem-Cell Research

I applaud! the President for rejecting legislation that would fund embryonic stem cell research. The first veto of his presidency he kept his promise on this life-and-death issue. The House voted 235-193 to overturn Bush’s veto, but that fell short by 51 of the required two-thirds majority.

I am for stell cell research using adult stem cells and embryonic umbilical cord stem cells, but not embryonic.

Here's what Jennifer Lahl, Director of The Center for Bioethics and Culture Network said: "Our government should not fund research that treats nascent human life as a harvestable crop. We should not be in the business of creating human life for the sole purpose of destroying it—no matter what the end results may be." Read the rest here on Friday.

HOT OFF THE SHOW! Costs of New Voting Machines

For our LIVE! show today we talked about the war in Israel; legislation that will make homosexual indoctrination a norm in California schools if passed; & the cost of the new voting machines put in place this past June primary.

Under the federal Help America Vote Act of 2002, every polling place in America must have at least one accessible voting booth by this year.

At an average cost to taxpayers of $5,000 each, some counties paid much more per voting machine. For instance, one county had $8 million allocated for 630 machines =
$133,000 each.

In Chattanuga, Hamilton County: they ordered 96 machines for their 126 precincts, the machines cost $366,000. The entire cost was covered by the federal government.

From the SF Chronicle: "Someone who's blind or deaf or physically impaired just wants a level playing field. They want the same access to voting as an able-bodied person." One disabled man said, "The disabled want to have a choice to do things independently and not have help if they don't want it."

Duane and I waited to vote towards the end of the day, at the little church in our neighborhood that accomodates two precincts. They had two of the new voting machines, one for each precinct. I asked the workers how many disabled voters had used the machines. The answer: 1. The same was found to be true for other precincts as I talked with friends and colleagues.

It's a kind idea to want to provide machines for the disabled, but couldn't we find solutions that work for much less cost per disabled voter? How about adapting the booths we already use, ie lower the legs for wheelchair access? Or have several locations in a city with the machines vs. every precinct. Or at the very least, having only l machine per location vs. for every precinct?

HOT OFF THE SHOW! America Gives Israel Space

The Bush administration is giving Israel space to 'disarm' Hezbollah, and thus far has received a minimum of criticism from the liberal media for doing so. I think they're scratching their head trying to 'predict' when Condoleezza Rice will go to Israel for talks on the situation. Such a diplomatic trip would necessarily encourage a quick resolve.

We talked about the situation in depth on the show today, bottom-lining and connecting the dots on this war in Israel.

Every Mother's Nightmare...

What mother wants her son to go off to war? None, (well, except for mother's of jihadists.) And if they have to go, we want them to serve bravely, but to be captured by the enemy - there's no greater nightmare.

This Friday we addressed, "Will there every be peace in the Middle East?" and for our next show on the subject we will look at "The Wives of Terrorists." There are worldviews we never dreamed of.

Israel - Is it War? Hezbollah & Iran buddies

What else?

WorldNetDaily reports today: Hezbollah rockets rain on Jewish state, Israeli warplanes target Lebanese sites, ground invasion considered.

And Jerusalem Post: Hezbollah wants the captured Israeli soldiers moved to Iran. Hezbollah guerrillas, who are backed by Iran, seized the soldiers Wednesday in a cross-border raid.

For weeks we have watched as tensions escalate in Israel. Then after attacking an Israeli Defense Forces military station, killing two Israeli solders, kidnapping another, and demanding the release of 1,000 prisoners, Palestinian groups including Hamas received Israel's response - "We will not negotiate with terrorists," and began going after Hamas leaders.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said, "We have no particular desire to topple the Hamas government as a policy. We have a desire to stop terrorists from inflicting terror on the Israeli people." After two more Israeli soldiers were taken captive by Hezbollah this week, Israel acted. Dropping a bomb which destroyed the Palestinian Foreign Ministry building in Gaza, the Israeli military said it was "led by Hamas" and has been used for planning terror attacks.

Then Israel bombed southern Lebanon and sent in troops for the first time in six years, and has gone on record naming what they consider their own 'axis of terror'. Israel's consul general, Arye Mekel said, "We now in the Middle East have an axis of terror and hatred comprising Iran, Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah, which is trying to attack Israel and prevent peace in the area."

Iran and Syria have pressured Hamas to hold on to the kidnaped Israeli soldier, and Israel considers the Hezbollah raid as proof that Syria and Iran are leading Hamas and Hezbollah in terrorist efforts.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been very vocal in his opinion and design on Israel, and said on Wednesday that the world will soon witness the demise of Israel. As the Iranian government-run news agency, Fars reported, “In the near future we will witness the rapid collapse of the Zionist regime. The nations of the region will record the names of states that support the Zionist regime alongside the Zionist’s crimes.”

Last year Ahmadinejad publicly declared that the Holocaust was a “myth” and said that Israel must be “wiped off the map”.

It will never happen, but is that their intent...now?

Hollywood 'Hit' - Micheal Moore's at it Again

Reporting to his 'followers' Michael Moore says he's shot about 75% of his next propaganda hit-job, oh, excuse me, 'documentary'on U.S. health-care system, called "Sicko" which is slated to be released in 2007.

NewsMax' Hollywood Confidential writers ask, "Does somebody know if Moore himself plans on taking a cut of the "Sicko" profits? We wouldn't want him profiting off other peoples' misery, obviously." and point out that because the system is in a mess he will probably find a receptive audience, but will then, "slip in the poison pill of pushing socialized medicine."

Arnold Schwarzenegger's refusal to put Nat'l Guard on California's borders at the President's request, and No. Korea going ballistic, we talked about the church in Memphis, TN, that spent $260,000 to erect a 72-foot-tall version of the Statue of Liberty, which holds a cross instead of a torch.

Critics complain that the 12,000 member church should have used the 2.5 million dollars it took to build the 'Statue of Liberation" for the poor and sick people of Memphis, "as Christ asked his followers to do."

Pastor Alton Williams of World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church says they did it in hopes it will get people to think about America's Christian roots, and their relationship to God.

HOT OFF THE SHOW! Does No. Korea Mean Business?

What's really up with Kim Jong il? Are his accusations of America's miliary pressure all in his imagination? Speculations? Craziness. Or just making noise in hopes of getting another $8 billion from the U.S., like the Clinton administration gave them,to not move forward with nuclear? Which didn't work, of course.

Blogcritics says, "Since launching a series of missiles less than a week ago, the leader of North yesterday, Kim Jong Il called the United States "our archenemy." He vowed not to compromise on the North's nuclear program, adding that his country is prepared for "all-out war" with the United States. Korea, Kim Jong Il, has yet to face thepromised consequences of his actions"

Breitbart reportedOn Friday, Pyongyang accused the United States of driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula "to the brink of war," and said it is fully prepared to counter any U.S. aggression. Monday's report accused Washington of escalating military pressure on the country with war exercises, a massive arms buildup and aerial espionage by basing new spy planes in South Korea."This is a grave military provocation and blackmail to the DPRK, being an indication that the U.S. is rapidly pushing ahead in various fields with the extremely dangerous war moves," the dispatch said. "The army and people of the DPRK are now in full preparedness to answer a pre-emptive attack with a relentless annihilating strike and a nuclear war with a mighty nuclear deterrent," the report said.

President Bush Turns 60 Today - Nintendo Gives "Brain Training Game"

-ABC reports: President Bush's 60th Birthday: The Historic Significance of a Milestone:

On July 6, President Bush reaches a personal milestone and turns 60 years old. But the president celebrated a bit early, on Tuesday, July 4, with a small private party of family and friends at the White House. ABC reports it was a casual affair, with the president wearing a red and white short sleeved Hawaiian shirt and dining on fried chicken, cajun shrimp, biscuits, salads and a three-tier chocolate cake that included a repica White House on the cake. After dinner, the guests watched the Independence Day fireworks from the Truman balcony.

Cokie Roberts: It's really interesting. I went back to look because of President Bush's birthday and discovered that almost all our early presidents — the presidents of the founding era as we consider them — turned 60 in office. The one exception was John Adams who was 61 when he was elected. But George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe and John Quincy Adams all turned 60 in office. And of course 60 in that era was very old. The lifespan was nowhere near as long as it is now. But with the exception of Washington — who died soon after he left office — he died in 1799 age 67 — the others lived to ripe-long old ages. James Monroe died at 73. But the others lived to 90, 80, 86 — very long times, particular for the late 1830s, early 19th century.

-Clinton Library celebrates Bush birthday:
In Little Rock folks will be celebrating President Bush's birthday at the Clinton Presidential Library, of all places!

WLTX reports:

Visitors at the library's Cafe 42 will be able to dine on some of President Bush's favorite foods. The menu will include Mexican pizza and garlic breadsticks, a deluxe peanut butter and jellysandwich and fresh fruit, or a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich with potato salad. Abortion, a topic that some have asked me not to talk about on the show...but how can I not talk about it with facts such as...

The abortion industry's secret - Margaret Sanger, the Founder of Planned Parenthood shockingly said, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.”

This is outrageous and makes me angry every time I think about this sinister agenda, which I went into detail of on the show. People need to know the roots of this organization, especially the black community. Will you help get the word out?

Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream that his “four children would one day live in a nation where they would not be judged by the color of their skin.” But as his niece, Dr. Alveda King, says, “I join the voices of thousands across America who can no longer sit idly by and allow this horrible spirit of murder to continue. If the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is to live, our babies must live.”
