When you hear or read about weapons of mass destruction what do you think of? Bombs and such? Or do you also think about biological and chemical agents? There is a difference between biological warfare and bioterrorism according to my guest, Dr. Ketan Desai, author of "Germs of War" (next Monday's show). Bioterrorism would be attacks such as the anthrax scares we had following 9/11. Biological or chemical agents used to engender terror. Biological warfare would be the use of releasing smallpox or deadly strains of flu via any number of vehicles, ie bombs, tanks, etc. for mass killings, such as Saddam Hussein used. There are things everyone can do to protect themselves and their family from biological warfare which are outlined on the following links, including Dr. Desai's list which will be posted on our website on Monday.
