An Originalist? A Constructionist? A practitioner of stare decisis? What is Judge John Roberts?
Darlene Superville of the ASSOCIATED PRESS wrote a glossary of unfamiliar legal terms and phrases concerning the upcoming Supreme Court hearings of Roberts that you may want to check out since I'm sure you'll catch some of the hearings and probably hear some of these terms used. For instance: Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia says he's an ORIGINALIST as well as a TEXTUALIST.
Today on the show I asked Christian Hartsock, a young political writer and aspiring film producer, to give us the to give us a picture of what the next generation is thinking concerning the upcoming Supreme Court appointment(s). After all, they will be the greatest recipients of whatever decisions will be made by the highest court in the land.
