Did You Know: Afghanistan Pledged Aid for Katrina Victims?

I had this in my file to post and missed doing so earlier in the month. But, it was so little reported by the MSM that just in case you didn't hear... the India Press reported: The U.S. Embassy announcement that Afghanistan pledged to give $100,000 to help victims of hurricane Katrina in the U.S. Ambassador Ronald Neumann said, "On behalf of the US embassy, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the people of Afghanistan. Their compassion and generosity bears testimony to the strength of the ties between our two peoples." This is great news no matter what anyone says.

As of Sept. 3rd the following governments pledged in addition to Afghanistan:
Australia, Austria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, China, Columbia, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Greece, Guyana, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Philippines, Portugal, South Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.
