A Giant is no longer with us -- Dr. D. James Kennedy

After suffering a heart attack in December, 4 days after delivering his last sermon on Christmas eve 2006, and nine months of convalescence, Dr. D. James Kennedy died today.

A man who understood how to serve God both in the church and in the public square, Dr. Kennedy had a major impact on my life and the lives of thousands of others who came to know the Lord through his ministry, and the importance of civic responsibility as a stewardship.

He will be tremendously missed not only by his family and church family but by the thousands upon thousands of lives he touched in his decades of ministry.

A Giant is no longer with us -- but he is with the One he served so faithfully for so many years.

We were privileged to meet him several years ago, and it was an honor to have him as a guest on our show, my first year in radio. As a matter of fact we re-aired the show last month, honoring him, which you can listen to at the link below.
