Ahmadinejad: Zionism has damaged Europe

Iranian Pres. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said last Tuesday at a UN food agency summit in Rome that:

"Europeans have suffered the biggest damage from the Zionists and today the weight of this artificial regime, both political and economic, is on Europe's shoulders."
Italian activists protested his presence at the summit, stating that "it was a disgrace to host someone who has repeatedly predicted Israel's disappearance."
At the same time, the incoming Iranian parliamentary speaker, Ali Larijani, declared strong support for Hamas in a conversation with Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, when he said:

"If you keep up the resistance you will succeed in being victorious," Larijani told Haniyeh.
To which Haniyeh said:

"We will never stop battling the Zionist enemy."

Why does the UN and the international community fail to see the obvious? Because they're blind.
