County clerk cancels civil wedding services
The announcement from Kern County Clerk Ann Barnett was documented in a report in the Los Angeles Times. She said her office will stop performing all weddings before June 17, the date that same-sex couples can apply for marriage licenses under instructions handed down by state bureaucrats.
