Having a Debate party - How about Alaskan Moose Cookies for Sarah Palin?

Here's what I'm having:

Arizona Tea and...

Alaskan Moose Cookies

1/2 C Butter
1/2 C Shortening
1 C Brown Sugar, packed
2 Eggs
3/4 C Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanilla
2 C Four, sifted
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 C Oatmeal
1 C Rice Krispies
1/2 C Chocolate chips
1/2 C Pecans, chopped

Cream butter, shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
Add flour sifted with baking powder and soda.
Add oatmeal, mix until blended.
Add Ricke Krispies, chocolate chips and nuts and mix slowly until blended.
Drop by large spoonfuls (ice cream scoop for bigger) on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 15-20 minutes at 250 degrees.
The cookies spread out at this lower than usual temperature.
Cool on cookie sheet until cracks start forming.
Use large spatula to remove to racks.
