Definition: Demagogue -- a leader who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises in order to gain power; a person, esp. an orator or political leader, who gains power and popularity by arousing the emotions, passions, and prejudices of the people; verb: to treat or manipulate (a political issue) in the manner of a demagogue; obscure or distort with emotionalism, prejudice, etc.
Now, who is calling the kettle black?
CNSNEWS -- Pres. Obama was in Guadalajara for a trilateral summit, and at a joint press conference with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper in Guadalajara, Mexico, Obama referred to American opponents of amnesty for illegal aliens as “demagogues.” When asked by a reporter whether “given the fight that you're having to wage for health care, I wonder if you can tell us what you think the prospects are for immigration reform, for comprehensive immigration reform, Obama said, “Now, am I going to be able to snap my fingers and get this done? No,” said Obama. “This is going to be difficult; it's going to require bipartisan cooperation. There are going to be demagogues out there who try to suggest that any form of pathway for legalization for those who are already in the United States is unacceptable. And those are fights that I'd have to have if my poll numbers are at 70 or if my poll numbers are at 40. That's just the nature of the U.S. immigration debate."

Who's calling the kettle black, now that's punny! As far as (Dem)a gogues, I was going to say "It takes (that one) to know one" but thats not really the case. To quote the bible, "to the unclean, all things are unclean." If your way of life is demagoguery, why you expect everyone else to do the same and if you have the bully pulpit, you're just ahead of the game.
