What you may or may not have heard...
Van Jones, Pres. Obama's Green Czar recently stepped down, but what is important to know about him -- and probably the most important question to ask? -- Why did Obama appoint him as one of his advisors?
An admitted black nationalist and radical communist Van Jones signed a petition calling for nationwide "resistance" against police, accusing them of using the 9/11 attacks to carry out policies of torture. The petition was organized by the October 22nd Coalition, an anti-police organization whose mission statement was drawn up by leaders of the radical Black Panther Collective for Social Progress. The 2006 statement, available on the website for the Revolutionary Communist Party USA, calls on participants to "resist so that we will not be crushed."
In a video, Jones called for a new "theology of resistance" and "theology of liberation" aimed at transforming American society.
Jones was also the founder of a communist revolutionary organization, Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM, which staged a vigil, on Sept. 11, 2001, called "People Of Color Groups Gather to Stand In Solidarity With Arab Americans and to Mourn the East Coast Dead."
But there's more...
On yesterday's show we played audio clips of Van Jones current 'progressive' worldview which includes --
"We don't deal with how we're treating our other sister and other brothers' species..."
and
"The white polluters and the white environmentals are essentially steering poison into the people of colored communities."
