Senator Bill Frist part of Samaritan's Purse surgeons in Haiti
Surgeons, an anesthesiologist, and three nurses were part of a Samaritan's Purse team that arrived in Haiti Monday to help provide emergency medical treatment to thousands of people who were seriously injured during last week’s devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake.
“The medical needs are tremendous,” said Dr. Richard Furman, the co-founder of World Medical Mission, one of the medical ministries of Samaritan’s Purse.
Dr. Furman said he is encouraged by the hundreds of Christian medical professionals who want to participate in the medical response.
