Eisenhower's Order Regarding the Holocaust

Generals Eisenhower, Patton, and Bradley view corpses of inmates at Ohrdruf, a subcamp of Buchenwald. Germany, April 12, 1945.

In observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day:

Survivors and other eyewitnesses understood and believed what happened to the Jews in Hitler's Germany. But would the world?
General Dwight D. Eisenhower grasped this potential problem and, after visiting a subcamp of Buchenwald he told his staff: "I want every American unit not actually in the front lines to see this place. We are told the American soldier does not know what he is fighting for. Now, at least he will know what he is fighting against."

Eisenhower understood that the horror was so extreme that it might not be believed, and realizing that a failure to believe would be a danger for the future of mankind, he ordered soldiers to visit the camps, and encouraged journalists and members of Congress and the British Parliament to bear witness as well. He wanted others to be, as he was, "in a position to give first-hand evidence of these things if ever, in the future, there develops a tendency to charge these allegations merely to 'propaganda.'" And ultimately he was right.

Never forget, never let this happen again, to any people.

Today across our nation and the world in colleges and universities, the percentage of anti-Semites have increased dramatically.

We talked about this on today's show. Also, hear Ted Pearce's song, "The Forgotten People."

Amnesty Next - I Hear You

Now that healthcare has been passed much to the dismay of most Americans...what's next on the president's agenda? Folks have been filling our inbox with feedback and talking about this on our facebook page...for instance:

Barbara Mabray
Amnesty...to acquire votes.
Joe Rochelle
Amnesty then Nationalize the Oil Industry under Cap n Trade
Lynda Rose McMahan
Decimate the radio broadcasting industry
Lisa Evanoff
Amnesty and internet taxes

And it continues to be 3 out of 4 say Amnesty. And I agree.

But what should be the #1 issue vs. what will be Obama's next push? JOBS!

You heard the president reporting 'good news' that 162,000 jobs were created last month - however, he failed to emphasize that unemployment continued to rise -- and is still at 9.7%.

But you watch...Amnesty and then Cap & Trade will be the next big pushes.

We talked about this on Wednesday's show with a Congressional Candidate and Tea Party movement organizer...a representation of what is happening across the nation...to push those in Congress now, out.

FYI - What Others are Saying:
National Review - Amnesty Next?

Orange County Register - Obama Back\s Amnesty
Men's News Daily - Obama's Next Fundamental Transformation

Muslims & Others Exempt from Health Care Mandate

Evidently the Amish and Muslims, American Indians and Christian Scientists are exempt from the new healthcare mandate, and any penalty.

On pages 273-274 of the new Healthcare bill it states that people of "religious sects and divisions," are exempt.

EXEMPTIONS FROM INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.
-In the case of an individual who is seeking an exemption certificate under section 1311(d)(4)(H) from any requirement or penalty imposed by section 5000A, the following information:

In the case of an individual seeking exemption based on the individual's status as a member of an exempt religious sect or division, as a member of a health care sharing ministry, as an Indian, or as an individual eligible for a hardship exemption, such information as the Secretary shall prescribe."

Senate Bill, H.R. 3590, pages 273-274

Here is a fatwa and clarification from a Muslim website in English on the Islamic law regarding medical insurance:

"The fact that the state makes insurance compulsory does not make it permissible; rather the burden of sin is waived from the person or company who is obliged to do that. As for the broker company which is doing this work by choice, it is guilty of sin.
"The same applies to the person who works in the insurance company or broker company; he is doing this work by choice, but this work is not permissible for him, because it is directly helping in sin...

It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (15/251):

"Firstly: Commercial insurance of all types is haraam because it involves ambiguity, riba, uncertainty, gambling and consuming people's wealth unlawfully, and other shar'i reservations.

"Secondly: It is not permissible for the Muslim to get involved with insurance companies by working in administration or otherwise, because working in them comes under the heading of cooperating in sin and transgression, and Allaah forbids that as He says: "but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment."

There you have it.

Wait a minute - can we as Christians or Jews or.......claim exemption on religious grounds? hmmmm

Davenport, Iowa Renames Good Friday 'Spring Holiday'

ABC News reports: "The city of Davenport, Iowa removed Good Friday from its municipal calendar last week, setting off a storm of complaints from Christians and union members whose contracts give them that day off.

Taking a recommendation by the Davenport Civil Rights Commission to change the holiday's name to something more 'ecumenical' (?), City Administrator Craig Malin sent a memo to municipal employees announcing Good Friday would officially be known as 'Spring Holiday.'

"My phone has been ringing off the hook since Saturday," said city council alderman Bill Edmond. "People are genuinely upset because this is nothing but political correctness run amok."
Edmond said the city administrator made the change unilaterally and did not bring it to the council for a vote, a requirement for a change in policy."

Note: Because of all the complaints, the city council has reversed its decision.

That's bad news turned to good.
