At a time when the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration reveals “excessive spending” by the IRS amounting to $4.1 million spent on a 2010 conference held in Anaheim, Calif , including $50,187 for videos such as Star Trek and Gilligan's Island parodies, and a dance party video, Obama cancels fireworks displays for military families. Maybe we don’t need any of this stuff, but notice the priorities and the politics involved. Perks for military families taken away, but Obama gets to claim that Congress and the Sequestration (his idea!) are the cause of the cutbacks.
