"It is time for progressives to set a constitutional agenda for the 21st Century. The Constitution in 2020 project is our attempt to build a counterweight to the conservative vision of the constitution developed so successfully by the right 25 years ago." These are the words you find promoting Yale Law School's chapter of the American Constitutional Society's "The Constitution in 2020," conference. Designed for "bringing together leading figures in American law to catalyze debate among progressives about the Constitution's future," one of the conference's main financial backers was none other than the Bush-hating, left-leaning billionaire, George Soros. Among other things, the conference called for creating a 'citizenship inheritance' of $80,000 by taxing the wealthy.
