Today, those who have left the homosexual lifestyle find themselves discriminated against by the gay community, and with little or not voice in the media or in schools offering an alternative to the 'alternative gay lifestyle' being promoted to young students. Why? It's pretty obvious, because if it is acknowledged that a homosexual can change his sexual preference then it blows a hole in the stance that homosexuals are born that way and can't change. Dr. Warren Throckmorton, someone we've had on the show several times, had his research on Gay-To-Straight published in the APA's (American Psychological Association) June 2005 Journal, summarizing the experiences of thousands of individuals who have changed their sexual orientation as a result of reorientation ministries, such as Exodus International, and counseling.
Throckmorton writes in his paper, "For years, public and professional opinion of ex-gay ministries have been influenced by anecdotes from persons not helped by these ministries," and not of those who have. I highly recommend his website and the resources he has there.
