Jesse Jackson: "I'm not going to buy into the Wright 'hype'"
Jesse Jackson: "I'm not going to buy into the Wright 'hype'"
That's what Jesse Jackson said today about the inflammatory sermons preached by Barack Obama's pastor, Jeremiah Wright. He says it diverts public attention from more substantive issues.
"I'm not going to address that. Frankly, I'm not going to buy into the hype." Jackson told The Washington Times regarding whether he agrees with Wright's church which accused the media of subjecting the pastor to "crucifixion."
Jackson is president and founder of the Rainbow/Push Coalition, that was endorsed Mr. Obama a year ago.
