Evidently the Amish and Muslims, American Indians and Christian Scientists are exempt from the new healthcare mandate, and any penalty.
On pages 273-274 of the new Healthcare bill it states that people of "religious sects and divisions," are exempt.
EXEMPTIONS FROM INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.
-In the case of an individual who is seeking an exemption certificate under section 1311(d)(4)(H) from any requirement or penalty imposed by section 5000A, the following information:
In the case of an individual seeking exemption based on the individual's status as a member of an exempt religious sect or division, as a member of a health care sharing ministry, as an Indian, or as an individual eligible for a hardship exemption, such information as the Secretary shall prescribe."

Here is a fatwa and clarification from a Muslim website in English on the Islamic law regarding medical insurance:
"The fact that the state makes insurance compulsory does not make it permissible; rather the burden of sin is waived from the person or company who is obliged to do that. As for the broker company which is doing this work by choice, it is guilty of sin.
"The same applies to the person who works in the insurance company or broker company; he is doing this work by choice, but this work is not permissible for him, because it is directly helping in sin...
It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (15/251):
"Firstly: Commercial insurance of all types is haraam because it involves ambiguity, riba, uncertainty, gambling and consuming people's wealth unlawfully, and other shar'i reservations.
"Secondly: It is not permissible for the Muslim to get involved with insurance companies by working in administration or otherwise, because working in them comes under the heading of cooperating in sin and transgression, and Allaah forbids that as He says: "but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment."
There you have it.
Wait a minute - can we as Christians or Jews or.......claim exemption on religious grounds? hmmmm

This is like on my local news program where the have a photo of someone that is notable but have it covered up. Then they remove various areas and you try to guess who it is as the covered areas are removed. We can now see more clearly what his agenda really is. Conversion to a religion that he sees is the greater cause (to him personally). Un real.

Augggggh!!!!! Talk about out of context!!!!! You can't have the plural society that we have and do it successfully if there is not some flexibility for religious freedoms guaranteed by the 1st amendment or economic circumstances. Medicare is the most efficient healthcare system in the US. It is government run and funded by medicare taxes. Veterans Haelthcare to which I avail myself when I am living in the US, is the Highest in patient satisfaction. I love it. I am currently living in Australia and in the UK prior to this. The UK with socialized medicine, to which as a resident I was allowed to participate. I was fine I never had a problem getting in or having elective procedures. Australia is more like the system the US will have in 2014, with mandatory insurance. My wife and I pay $400AUD a month for "extra services" dental, homeopathic, chiropractic and even eastern medicine practices which we don't use but have that option. Our healthcare is fine. This constant conspiracy thing that is non-stop is tiring. I have met the president when he was a state legislator and community activist. I have met Rahm Emmanuel. I don't agree with them about everything, but they are good men. Just like GW Bush who I agree with about almost nothing. they are all patriots and believers in a country and system that is bigger than themselves. If only we could find the truth instead of inferring it from rumor and speculation and our own prejudicial leanings
