The Big Story Tonight: President Bush Nominates John G. Roberts to the Supreme Court

Out of 15 recommendations, 11 put in the hat so to speak, and 5 seriously considered, President Bush selected Judge John G. Roberts for his choice for Justice of the Supreme Court to replace Sandra Day O'Conner. The news coverage is significant so I won't go into all the details here except to say, conservatives are happy, he won't be the same swing vote as Sandra Day O'Conner, and he's already gone through the selection process and confirmed in 2001 for his appointment to the second highest court in the land, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington D.C. President Bush and conservatives are hopeful he will receive the same for this all important appointment, which he could remain in for 30-40 years. We will be interviewing Marc Morano of CNS news tomorrow for any inside Washington information he has. This will be a topic of discussion in the days and hopefully only a few weeks ahead. So more later.

Are you happy with President Bush's choice?
